I still remember the first batch of beer I ever brewed. It was terrible. It tasted like wet cardboard mixed with old pennies. I had followed a generic instruction kit, used tap water, and fermented it in my closet during a heatwave. I almost quit right then and there.
But being stubborn, I decided to dig deeper. I spent the next 6 years reading every brewing textbook I could find, experimenting with yeast strains, and turning my garage into a mini laboratory. Today, my friends actually ask to take my beer home. I created Jar Brew to be the resource I wish I had when I started.
If we haven’t brewed it, we won’t post it.
Understanding why fermentation works.
I buy equipment with my own money to test it.
